TOUR LUQUINA PREMIUN FULL DAY

The tour begins with pickup from your hotel in Puno, transfer to the Puno port, and boarding a speedboat bound for Taquile Island. During the journey, you’ll enjoy the scenery of the highest navigable lake in the world. Upon arrival in Taquile, there is an interpretation of artisan symbols, traditional dance, and a walk offering panoramic views of the greater lake area, followed by a return through the beach area. Visitors have the opportunity to learn about Quechua traditions and the community organization system that is still preserved today.

Next, the tour continues to the Aymara community of Luquina, located on a peaceful peninsula with spectacular views of the lake. Upon arrival, visitors are welcomed with traditional music and clothing, creating a festive and warm atmosphere. Here, you will enjoy a buffet lunch featuring Andean cuisine made with local ingredients, and share a cultural moment with the locals, who demonstrate their daily activities such as farming and livestock raising.

To conclude, the tour heads to the Uros floating islands, where two of these islands made entirely of totora reeds are visited. You'll learn about their history, way of life, and construction techniques. Additionally, there is an option to take a ride on a totora reed boat made by the islanders themselves (optional activity with an additional cost). The day ends with the return to the city of Puno and transfer to your accommodation.
