OVERVIEW
Taquile, considered the most beautiful island in all of Lake Titicaca. The home of the most famous weavers in Peru, who express their culture in the symbology of each textile produced, which led the textile art of the island to be recognized as Heritage. Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
Luquina, an Aymara community located on the Chucuito peninsula (67 km from the Puno city), dedicated to agriculture and livestock activities. In addition, this place amazes all its visitors for the amazing view of the Sacred Lake and the beautiful landscape. Luquina is characterized by its warm and friendly population that will make you feel at home.
The Uros floating islands, are a set of artificial islands recognized worldwide due to the use of an aquatic plant, named totora, that is use to build the islands and is the most vital component of their life.
LUQUINA - TAQUILE - UROS FULL DAY TOUR
Today, we will explore the incredible cultures that founds in the islands of the Lake Titicaca as you embark on a journey where you will meet the expert weavers of Taquile Island, the traditional customs of Luquina, and sail on the totora raft.
This tour will begin at 7:00 a.m., when we will pick you up from your hotel (downtown of Puno) to transfer you to the Puno port and depart on a boat to Taquile Island. Once on this island, we will hike uphill until we reach its main square. You will be able to appreciate many fine handcrafts made by local people and you can learn about their customs.
The tour will continue in Peninsula of Luquina, where the population will receive you with music while they wear their typical clothes. In this place you will enjoy an Andean buffet lunch and you can learn about their daily activities.
Our last stop will be the Uros Floating Islands, a unique archipelago of artificial islands. We will visit two of these islands, the first will be a family island and the second will be the capital island. Additionally, you can take a short ride in the totora rafts (Optional, additional cost of S/ 15.00 Soles).
After visiting Uros islands, we will return to Puno city, arriving at 4.00 pm approximately and we will transfer you to your hotel (downtown Puno).

| 4:00 p.m. | Arrival at the port and transfer to your hotel. |
